still life commissions

how do i begin?

The first step is to contact Megan for an email consultation. She works with all styles and budgets, and her drawings range from simple arrangements to complex compositions.

During the initial email exchange, Megan will talk with you about the style, size, and price for your piece. If the subject of your drawing is unique to you, you’ll be asked to mail your still life subject(s) directly to Megan’s studio for a photo shoot (they will be promptly returned). If the subject of your drawing is not unique to you (flowers, fruits, etc.), Megan will put together a composition based on your conversation, and you’ll be provided with several options to choose from. To secure the commission, you’ll sign an artist contract and send a non-refundable 50% deposit that will be applied to your final balance.

How should I budget?

Pricing is based on the size of the drawing and the complexity of the composition.

what is the timeline?

Custom orders take a minimum of one month to complete, and up to a year. If your commission is a gift, Megan can provide you with an emailed gift notice. Once you finalize details about the size and complexity of your drawing, Megan will give you her earliest availability.

contact the artist directly with any further questions.
